This project started years ago, how many I can’t say, the Air Force Phantoms have 1976 etched into their bottoms and the Skyhawks are etched 1979, so quite a long time ago! The Navy Phantoms are new from Raider. Much better models all around. I painted a bunch of Migs years ago so don’t think I will be buying more 1/300 Vietnam.

The decals are all from Miscellaneous Miniatures and are quite nice, but each decal has to be cut individually from the sheet. Pretty fiddly, but worth it.

Back again with more Vietnam planes, only they’re all 1/600 scale. Most are Tumbling Dice, but there’s a few from Pico those being the B 52s and the F111s with the swept back wings. Both Air Force and Navy forces. You’ll note there are a few of the bad guys in the bunch. Don’t really need too many but I do have another bag of MiG 17s to paint. Currently working on some rescue helicopters for CSAR scenarios. I’m really looking forward to playing Thud Ridge again in the near future.

Oil refinery and pipeline from Flight’s On that I bought years ago at Enfilade. Isn’t it strange what you drag home from a convention that eventually gets used, even if it is years in the future!

I’m back with more little planes (50 of them) almost all by Tumbling Dice, but a few Pico also included. Mustangs, Birddogs, Broncos, Freedom Fighters, and Skymasters.

The little OH13 Mash helicopters are Pico.

The German jets are Tumbling Dice.

have been busy wrapping up the Aztecs. This nice temple and pyramid took a month of painting time! There’s more to this pyramid, but it’s getting set aside for a bit while I do other things, like painting some conquistadors and Tlaxcallan to fight the Aztecs! These are the last of the Aztecs that I plan on painting. The sacrifice scene was “bloody” good fun to paint😜! All these figures are 28mm Outpost and are very nice.
